What is Cup of Joy?
Cup of Joy is a ministry created out of Doris Bowen's passion to teach women to discover and renew their passion for God. Her desire is to encourage women to spend quality time with their heavenly Father and restore their love and devotion to Him.

What makes Cup of Joy different?
Doris' passion is to provide "relevant" messages, music, praise and reflection that will nourish your spirit and allow time for reflection that will lead you into God's presence. Cup of Joy prays that each and every woman has the opportunity to enjoy knowing their God personally and delighting in His truths. Come join us at a retreat or at our ongoing Bible study gatherings.

Statement of Faith
The Bible
We believe that all scripture is "God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness". We believe the Bible to be the inspired, timeless and living Word of God.
1 Timothy 3:16, John 1:1, Hebrews 4:12

God
We believe that there is one true God - Sovereign and Creator of all things on heaven and earth. God exists in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - the Trinity. God is all-powerful, all-knowing and present in all things - full of mercy and love.
2 Corinthians 13:14, Genesis 1:1-2, Deuteronomy 7:9

Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin and made man, who dwelt among us. He lived a sinless life, suffered, died on the cross and rose again in victory. His death on the cross was the ultimate sacrifice for the sin of mankind.

Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit was given to mankind to be the Helper and Comforter. The Holy Spirit provides guidance and truth. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit occurs at the moment of salvation and provides direction as we strive to live a godly life.
